The Exhibition at the Saïd Business School Oxford was opened by our Patron Prof John Carey. He said:-

"This exhibition and the story behind it shows that art can rescue abandoned children, sustain them, train them in a skill that might earn them a living, and, even if it did not, would show them someone cared about them, which no one had till now."

"But art can do these things only if it finds someone of great magnanimity, great generosity, great selflessness and great talent."

"It had found these things in Kader, and the exhibition should be thought of as a homage to him."

"The art work on show will seem strange to someone educated in the European tradition, and this gives it power to widen our vision. Compared to European art it is organic. It uses local materials, mud, cotton, vegetable dyes."

"So if you buy a piece of it, you buy a piece of Mali and a piece of the life of the maker. Also you will contribute to saving another child."
